Training Great Digital School (Formation Grande Ecole du Numérique (GEN))
Under several months of training about digital jobs provided to about 15 people, i have been asked to host a molding training session.
I spread it over 3 days :
- Day 1 : Theory and making one part mold
The morning was about theory, what’s a mold, terms related to this career, terms according suppliers, prices, laws, etc
Afternoon was about creating a simple one part mold
- Day 2 : Creating a 2 parts mold (or more)
Students brought their own objects to mold, figures, 3d prints, etc
Same as day 1, addind the complexity of several parts mold, how to define the seamline according the object being molded, etc
- Day 3 : Matrix mold and paint
I brought one of my own projects for which i needed to make a mold; an original goa’uld bomb from Stargate SG-1.
