STARGATE SG-1 - Asgard Crystal

After acquiring an Asgard crystal, i had in mind to create a 1:1 scale asgard computer, so i started making replicas of those crytals.

Original were engraved from both sides, new challenge for me to reproduce

After a few tests and head scratching, i figured out the building process :
I needed a way to flip the plexiglass without altering the placement on the laser bed, it was a 4 steps process :

- Step 1 : engraving symbols
- Step 2 : cut crystal shape and a square shape around acting like a casing
- Step 3 : flipping crystal inside the casing
- Step 4 : engraving other side

After few successful tests, production was launched :
